Liverpool’s Alberto Moreno warms up before the match
Jamie Carragher has told talkSPORT that he believes Alberto Moreno’s Liverpool career is finished.
The Reds defender has struggled for his best form at Anfield ever since arriving under Brendan Rodgers.
Last season saw him come in for fierce criticism, especially for his display in the Europa League final defeat to former club Sevilla.
This season he has found himself replaced at left back by midfielder James Milner, largely because of the performance he put in in the opening day win over Arsenal.

Milner being used in the position seemingly shows manager Jurgen Klopp does not trust him and Carragher says he believes the Spaniard’s time on Merseyside is up.
“He [Klopp] obviously rates him [James Milner] higher than Moreno,” he told talkSPORT.
“If you’re a left-back and the manager is playing a right midfielder ahead of you, it probably tells you time is up at the club, so I would imagine in January or the end of the season a left-back will come in.”

The situation certainly does look bleak for Moreno at Liverpool at the minute, especially with James Milner impressing in his new left back role.
Rather than it being a weakness for them, the team has instead adapted well to the midfielder being used in the position.
They currently sit fifth in the table with ten points from their first five games and if they continue to perform as well as they have done then that will only push Moreno closer to the exit door.
