Jamie Carragher has said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:28pm, August 22, 2022) that Roberto Firmino will leave Liverpool at the end of the season.
The former Liverpool star believes that it is “pretty obvious” that Brazil international forward Firmino will not be given a new contract.
The £180,000-a-week star (Spotrac) is out of contract at Liverpool next summer.
Carragher made the comments about Firmino in the build-up to the Premier League game between Manchester United and Liverpool at Old Trafford on Monday night.
Erik ten Hag’s side won 2-1.

Exit inevitable?
In our view, it is almost inevitable that Roberto Firmino will leave Liverpool at the end of the season.
The Brazilian is 30 now and is out of contract at the former Premie League and UEFA Champions League winners next summer.
Firmino had injury issues last season, and Liverpool have signed Darwin Nunez to play as the number nine.
We do not see Liverpool paying over the odds in salary to Firmino to keep him at the club beyond the end of his current contract.
The Brazilian has been superb for Liverpool over the years, but his time at Anfield is coming to an end.
