Liverpool ace Trent Alexander-Arnold has made himself one of the most dangerous right backs in the world, but some still think he should be playing in midfield.
Alexander-Arnold has been with Liverpool since the age of six, and he is now one of the great success stories of the Liverpool academy.
Despite being a right back throughout his time in the Liverpool first team, there continue to be questions over his role.
Alexander-Arnold isn’t exactly solid defensively, and his deficiencies at that end of the pitch maybe played a part in him being dropped from the England squad last season.
The 22-year-old is outstanding going forward though, constantly delivering great quality into the box from wide areas.
Earlier in his career, Alexander-Arnold was a midfielder or wide player, and Gary Lineker took to Twitter on Saturday to suggest that he should be moved back into midfield.
Lineker believes that Alexander-Arnold is quite simply the best English passer around, and should move into midfield like German duo Philipp Lahm and Joshua Kimmich did in the past.

Jamie Carragher just isn’t having it though, responding by suggesting it would be mad to change Alexander-Arnold’s role when he is such a productive player where he is already.
Alexander-Arnold has racked up 45 assists and 10 goals in 182 appearances for Liverpool, proving to be a great outlet down the right flank.
Carragher believes he should stay there, pointing out that he spends more time on the ball than a midfielder does in Liverpool’s system anyway.
