The message on the banner was unflattering, but it seems that the former England international was able to see the funny side.
Everton lost the match against Lyon 3-0 in France and will not be able to progress any further in the Europa League.
The performance of the Merseyside outfit in France was hugely disappointing, but the positive is that the players can now focus on the Premier League.
The Toffees will return to action this weekend when they take on Watford in the Premier League.
Given that Everton are in the Premier League relegation zone, the match against the Hornets is hugely important for them.
