Jamie Carragher has stated that he thinks Mo Salah will sign a new contract at Liverpool, as he told Instagram.
The Sky pundit was asked by Gary Neville if he can see Salah leaving at the end of the season and Carragher made it clear that the situation doesn’t worry him.
As things stand, there doesn’t seem to be any movement in the 29-year-old penning down his future on Merseyside.
It has resulted in some Liverpool fans becoming a little twitchy and worrying that he could either leave in the summer, or when his contract is up in 2023.
But Carragher, whilst speaking to Neville, explained why he thinks Salah will stay put at Anfield.
“Mo Salah leaving, is Mo Salah going to leave at the end of the season,” asked Neville.
“Not at the end of the season,” responded Carragher. “He may leave at the end of his contract, but he won’t leave at the end of the season.”
Neville then asked: “You don’t think they will sell him? You don’t think they will cash in? With Diaz, Jota, Firmino and Mane?”
Carragher added: “No, no. I wouldn’t. I don’t think they would. They will get another 12 months out of him. Hopefully, they can change his mind and try to convince him to sign that contract.
“I think he will end up signing the contract. I am not too overly worried about the situation, to be honest. I think he will sign because of the situation of all these other clubs and the players they will look to sign. They will look at Haaland and Mbappe. Younger players than Salah.”

Salah is at the peak of his powers and perhaps the best player in the world right now.
Jurgen Klopp and his players are pushing for all four trophies – they already have one in the bag for this season.
It’s very unlikely they will win all four, but there is a strong possibility that they can add one of the big ones to their cabinet again.
They are hunting down Manchester City in the Premier League title race – they dropped points away at Crystal Palace on Monday night, whilst they will be one of the favourites for the Champions League.
