Jamie Carragher believes Liverpool have tough draw against Leeds but admits it could have been worse.
Leeds United’s reward for getting through to the EFL Cup quarter-finals is a tricky tie away to Liverpool.
While Whites fans will have wanted a home draw against bitter rivals Manchester United, the away game at Anfield is a glamour tie which offers them the chance to compete with one of the best teams in the country.

Leeds were once mixing it regularly with the likes of Liverpool, and the match will be an opportunity for Garry Monk’s promising team to see how they measure up.
Liverpool were last season’s runners-up in the competition, beaten by Manchester City, who were eliminated last night.
Former Reds defender Jamie Carragher believes the draw is a good one for Liverpool, even though it won’t be easy.
He told SkySports live coverage of the draw: “It’s going to be tough. They bring a great crowd, they alwys do Leeds.
“There are some some top teams in there, could be going to Old Trafford, to The Emirates, so its a decent draw for Liverpool.”

In that respect all any team can ask for is a home draw, and the fact the game is being played at Anfield tips the odds even more in Liverpool’s favour.
This could play into Leeds’ hands as underdogs with a complete lack of pressure, but it will be a tough task for the Whites to spring an upset against Jurgen Klopp’s side.
