Everton boss Ronald Koeman is coming under increasing pressure after the Toffees lost 5-2 at home to Arsenal in the Premier League.
Jamie Carragher has taken to Twitter to react to Everton’s defeat to Arsenal on Sunday that has surely left Ronald Koeman’s future with the Toffees in serious doubt.
Everton went into the Premier League clash, having won just two of their previous 12 games in all competitions, losing six times during that run.
And despite taking the lead at Goodison Park through Wayne Rooney, it was the Gunners who picked up the three points as a blistering second-half display saw Arsene Wenger’s men claim a 5-2 win that sees Everton fall into the bottom three.
And after the game, Liverpool legend Carragher took to social media to point out that this season will probably arouse a sense of deja vu for goalkeeper Jordan Pickford as his Sunderland side spent the entirety of last term in the relegation zone before ultimately falling into the Championship.

Of course, Everton’s start to the season has been better than Sunderland’s was last year when Pickford enjoyed a real breakout season, with Koeman’s men so far winning six more points and only being in the bottom three on goal difference after the same number of games.
But the fact that Sunderland’s relegation seemed almost inevitable for a number of years meant that it was little surprise that Pickford was the busiest player in their squad, whereas few would have expected Everton to find themselves in such a desperate situation at this stage.
