Liverpool claimed a big win on Wednesday night, beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at Anfield with a late Roberto Firmino goal.
Mohamed Salah’s deflected strike put Liverpool in front, only for Son Heung-min to race clear and pull Spurs level on the break.
Tottenham had their chances to win it through Steven Bergwijn and Harry Kane, but they squandered those opportunities – and Firmino headed home a late corner to seal the win.
Liverpool move three points clear of Tottenham at the top of the table, and Jurgen Klopp will be delighted with how his side battled until the very end to claim the win.
He should also be ecstatic with midfielder Curtis Jones, who continued his development with a fine performance against Tottenham last night.
The 19-year-old has been impressive of late, playing regularly in Klopp’s midfield whilst turning in impressive performances that show he can be a key player for years to come.

Jones racked up 105 passes, four aerials, four interceptions, two key passes and one shot on target in a superb display last night, earning praise from pundits on Twitter.
Jamie Carragher suggested that Jones was ‘the best player on the pitch’ last night, whilst Gary Lineker branded him a ‘lovely footballer’ and predicted a big future for him.
