Pundit Jamie Carragher has taken to Twitter to pile praise on Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane following Saturday’s 2-0 win over Manchester City.
Spurs hosted City on Saturday evening, and took an early lead as Son Heung-min raced onto Tanguy Ndombele’s pass to slot underneath Ederson.
City thought they had equalised when Aymeric Laporte scored, but the goal was ruled out for a Gabriel Jesus own goal – and Spurs went and doubled their lead in the second half.
Substitute Giovani Lo Celso raced clear from Harry Kane’s pass to fire the second just moments after coming on, and Tottenham held out to claim a clean sheet and a second 2-0 win over City this year.
This win was another indication that Tottenham could seriously challenge for silverware this season, and Kane will undoubtedly be key to those hopes – even if he didn’t score against City.
The England international was sensational throughout Saturday’s game, dropping into midfield and even defence to produce a quite stunning all-action display.

Kane has taken his game to another level this season, providing assists as well as goals, whilst showing outstanding work rate as the spearhead of Mourinho’s side.
On Saturday night, pundit Carragher took to Twitter to profess his love for Kane, suggesting that he was ‘so clever’ with his passing, winning fouls, slowing the game down and even speaking to the referee regularly as the 27-year-old showed he is much more than goals.
