Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher suggested on Sky Sports Premier League on Friday evening (7:10pm, October 20, 2017) in the build-up to the Premier League game between West Ham United and Brighton and Hove Albion at the London Stadium that Tottenham Hotspur will not win the Premier League title this season.

Tottenham finished third in the league table during the 2015-16 campaign and second last season.

The North London outfit are doing well in the Premier League at the moment and are very much in the race for the title.

However, former Liverpool legend Carragher does not expect Spurs to win the league title this campaign.

The former England international, though, does expect Mauricio Pochettino’s side to finish in the top six of the Premier League for the third season in a row.

“Tottenham will be sort of in between top four and title,” said Carragher on Sky Sports Premier League on Friday evening (7:10pm, October 20, 2017).

Tottenham have one of the strongest teams in the Premier League – their starting lineup is superb.

Although there are doubts over the strength of their squad, it must be noted that Spurs are playing well and winning matches without star midfielders Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama.

Meanwhile, former Celtic and Aston Villa striker Alan McInally is not getting too carried with Harry Kane.

Kane is one of the best strikers in the Premier League and played well for Tottenham against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

“It’s still really early genuinely to speak about Harry Kane as like the best thing that has ever happen for England and Spurs etc etc,” said McInally about Kane on the Premier League Daily show on Sky Sports News on Tuesday morning (10:06am, October 18, 2017).
