The former Liverpool defender was present as Tottenham Hotspur comfortably beat Real Madrid.

Jamie Carragher has angered some Liverpool supporters by tweeting about Tottenham Hotspur’s win against Real Madrid.
Tottenham comfortably beat the reigning European champions 3-1 at Wembley, courtesy of two goals from Dele Alli and one from Christian Eriksen.

Former Liverpool defender Carragher was present at Spurs’ temporary home, and sent the following tweet after the match – describing their performance as a ‘privilege to witness’.
But several Liverpool fans did not take well to the 39-year-old’s post, with Jurgen Klopp’s side also in action on Wednesday.
Liverpool, who famously beat Real Madrid 4-0 in March 2009 – albeit when the Spanish giants had gone five years without a quarter-final appearance in the competition, were 3-0 winners against Maribor at Anfield.
Mohamed Salah, Emre Can and Daniel Sturridge were each on target for the Reds, who recorded their second straight win since last month’s 4-1 hammering at Tottenham.
In another apparent Liverpool snub, Roy Keane told ITV last night he wouldn’t watch Klopp’s team if they were playing in his back garden.
