Jamie Carragher on his major worry about Everton

Everton were beaten 2-0 by Leicester City at the King Power Stadium yesterday.

Jamie Carragher has told Sky Sports, during Everton’s live match against Leicester City, that he doesn’t feel David Unsworth can change his major worry about the Toffees.

Carragher feels that Everton’s defence is lacking in quality, and he fears that their problems at the back will remain, whatever a new manager does.

The former Liverpool defender said: “The one worry is that it’s still lacking in the back four and there’s not much Unsworth can change about that.”

Everton were beaten 2-0 by Leicester yesterday, and their performance at the King Power Stadium was not at all impressive.

Unsworth named a team with two out and out wingers, but his tactical decision did not work.

Everton were left exposed at the back, and Leicster carved through them far too easily in the first half of the contest.

Unsworth did change system at half-time, and Everton improved in the second period, but it was not enough to help them avoid defeat.

The Toffees are now right in the thick of the relegation battle, after what has been a disastrous start to the campaign.

Everton are in 18th place in the Premier League table, with their next match coming against Lyon in the Europa League on Thursday.
