Gary Neville thinks Manchester United will win the Premier League before Liverpool.
A new Premier League season is underway, which of course means that Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville are back at each other once again.
The Sky Sports pundits are known for their analysis on Premier League games, but also their bickering about various matters – often involving ‘their’ clubs.
Carragher is always batting for Liverpool, whilst Neville’s support for Manchester United is obvious, even if he part-owns a club of his own in Salford City.
Their latest debate surrounds the fortunes of their two clubs, and whether United will be back in the title hunt in the near future.
Neville boldly suggested that United will win the Premier League title again soon, even predicting that they will do it before Liverpool manage to do it.
Neville added that Mo Salah will leave Liverpool, feeling his exit is inevitable, and that United will get their recruitment right to push for the Premier League title.
Carragher was clearly blown away by such comments, taking to Twitter to mock Neville for getting carried away after just one Premier League game this season.
United beat Chelsea 4-0 on Sunday, and Carragher thinks Neville is just getting too giddy at that result, rather than putting any weight into his claims that United will pip Liverpool to a Premier League title in the near future; after all, Liverpool are in a much stronger position than the Red Devils, and have won two European trophies in 2019, so it’s no wonder Carragher isn’t too worried just yet.
