Jamie Carragher has said on Sky Sports Premier League (11:08pm, December 27, 2021) that he would love Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to sign Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City in the January transfer window.

The Sky Sports pundit believes that having De Bruyne in the team would see Liverpool win the Premier League title this season.

The former Liverpool defender made the comments on Monday Night Football on Sky Sports.

Carragher and fellow Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville were asked to name one player they would sign for Liverpool and Manchester United respectively in January.

And Carragher went for De Bruyne, who cost Manchester City £55 million in transfer fees in the summer of 2015 (BBC Sport).

Carragher said: “I would go for De Bruyne. Him in that Liverpool team.

Kevin De Bruyne would a great signing for Liverpool

In our opinion, De Bruyne would be a brilliant signing for Liverpool.

The Belgium international is a world-class midfielder and would make the Reds so much better.

The 30-year-old is at the top of his game now and would be able to make an immediate impact at Anfield.

However, we do not think that De Bruyne will join Liverpool.

Ever.

De Bruyne has a long-term contract at Manchester City, who are not going to sell one of their best players to their main title rivals.
