Liverpool won four out of six points against Everton last season, as Marco Silva will be hoping his players can win the bragging rights ahead of the new campaign.

Ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher couldn’t help but mock neighbours Everton on Instagram by posing a picture of himself looking old with the caption ‘my look when the Blues win their next trophy’.
Here is the former Liverpool Champions League winner having a pop at his rivals, as posted on his personal Instagram account:

The defender turned TV pundit was clearly having a joke at the expense of his rivals, which will no doubt amuse the Anfield supporters, but not sit well with some of the Goodison Park faithful depending on whether they see the funny side or not.
But the serious talk will start again next season when Liverpool will be trying to win that elusive Premier League crown, whilst Everton will be hoping to gatecrash the top-six.
Both teams are in a positive place, at this moment in time, and there’s no doubt that the battle between the two will be as intense as ever.
Jurgen Klopp’s side claimed four points against the Toffees last season, with Divock Origi netting a stoppage-time winner at Anfield before they were held to a goalless draw at Goodison Park during the reverse fixture.

Liverpool won the Champions League trophy in June and they will be hoping to add another trophy to their cabinet ahead of the next campaign.
Everton will also want to win their first trophy under Silva’s stewardship, as they secured the signature of Fabian Delph from Manchester City on Monday [BBC Sport].
Nonetheless, the first Merseyside derby will take place on December 4 at Anfield before the duo will meet in March at Goodison Park for the reverse fixture.
