Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino and Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane are two of the Premier League’s best strikers.

Reds legend Jamie Carragher spoke exclusively to Sky Sports, and suggested that Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino has become so important to Jürgen Klopp that the German would pick the Brazilian ahead of Tottenham’s hitman Harry Kane.
The Brazilian ace has led the line extremely well for the Reds this season, with his movement and exceptional hold up play proving to be pivotal to the way in which Klopp’s side go about their business.
The England international, on the other hand, is arguably Europe’s most prolific out-and-out striker, having scored 31 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions so far this season.

Carragher, though, is such a big fan of Firmino that he believes Klopp would choose him ahead of Kane, if he had Spurs man amongst his squad at Anfield. as quoted by Sky Sports:
“Without a doubt, Firmino is helping Salah. He comes towards the ball and that opens up the space for Salah to make that penetrating diagonal run in behind that space between the full-back and the centre-back. That’s why, even without the goals, I don’t think Klopp would ever look to replace Firmino. If Harry Kane gets 40 goals and Firmino gets 20, he would still be one of – if not the first – name on the team sheet because of what he does off the ball.”
Kane, 24, has been quite sensational for Spurs this season, chipping in with 22 goals and 1 assist in 25 Premier League games thus far.
Firmino, meanwhile, has recorded 11 goals and five assists in 25 league outings, but there is a real argument to be made that no other striker in world football could fulfil the role that the Brazilian performs for Liverpool.

Kane is the best natural goalscorer in the Premier League, that cannot be argued, but there are not many better than Firmino at pressing from the front, tracking back, and creating space for others.
It is those qualities which make him so important to the Merseyside outfit, and without him, they would not be able to implement Klopp’s preferred style of play to the extent that they do.
