Jamie Carragher has taken to Twitter to react after Everton drew 1-1 at Old Trafford earlier today, and he’s made a claim about Abdoulaye Doucoure.
What’s the story?
Well, Carragher believes the Frenchman has been one of the best players in the Premier League so far this season.
With the likes of Mohamed Salah, Bruno Fernandes, Jamie Vardy and Romelu Lukaku all doing the business as well, that’s quite the claim.
You can see Carragher’s tweet in full below.
In truth, Doucoure really has been among the best this season.
Under Rafa Benitez, the £20m signing from Watford appears to have gone up a level.
Doucoure has scored two goals and provided four assists in seven Premier League appearances this season, which is an excellent return.
Alongside the combative Allan, Benitez seems to have found a highly effective midfield pairing for Everton.
Is Abdoulaye Doucoure the best Everton signing in a decade?

In our view, we believe Doucoure is the best bit of business Everton have done for the last ten years.
The Toffees have made many dreadful signings in that time, including the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson for £45m, Yannick Bolasie for £25m and Alex Iwobi for £34m.
However, Doucoure was a rare success story for Marcel Brands.

The 28-year-old has scored five goals and provided six assists in 41 appearances for the Toffees.
Despite his obvious goal threat, the workload Doucoure gets through stands out above all – he is a huge presence in the middle of the field.
With the Frenchman at Goodison Park, Benitez has a focal point to build his midfield around – Doucoure really is that good.
