Jamie Carragher claims he still fancies Tottenham Hotspur to get the final Champions League spot ahead of Liverpool – after seeing the fixture list.
The last few days have been very, very different for Liverpool and Spurs.
Liverpool beat Wolves 2-0 at home and then smashed Manchester United 7-0 in a remarkable game at Anfield.
That has really boosted the mood on Merseyside but things aren’t quite so jubilant down in North London.
Spurs crashed out of the FA Cup to Championship side Sheffield United before losing 1-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
There seems to be a real air of pessimism around Tottenham right now, in part because manager Antonio Conte’s future is so unclear.
Liverpool have now closed the gap to Tottenham to just three points and still have a game in hand on Spurs yet.
The race for fourth place in the Premier League is hotting up and Jamie Carragher has now offered his prediction.

Jamie Carragher backs Tottenham over Liverpool for top four
Carragher watched on as his former club smashed Manchester United 7-0 but that wasn’t enough to sway him on the top four race.
Carragher told The Gary Neville Podcast that he thinks the feeling around Liverpool is better right now despite his belief that Tottenham have been the better team for most of the season.
The former Liverpool defender added that he still favours Tottenham to take the last Champions League spot.
That’s because Carragher looked at the fixtures for both teams and thinks Tottenham have a better run-in.
“I think there’s probably a better feeling around Liverpool, even though I think Tottenham, this season, have probably performed better on a lot of occasions,” said Carragher. “I still favour Tottenham, because I’ve actually looked right at the fixture list and they’ve got a lot more favourable fixtures than Liverpool do,” he added.
Liverpool face a tough period coming up as April starts with games against Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Tottenham do still have to play Newcastle United and Manchester United but their fixtures look a little more favourable on paper.
The big game may well be on April 30th as Liverpool host Tottenham in what could be a straight shoot-out for fourth place.
