Jamie Carragher joked on CBS (03/11/20 at 10:25 pm) that Mo Salah ‘gets a little jealous’ when anyone else is scoring for Liverpool following their 5-0 win in the Champions League last night.
Liverpool were 2-0 up by the time Salah got on the scoresheet when his blistering run on the counter-attack saw him cut in on his favoured left foot and sweetly curl home his effort.
There’s no doubt that hat-trick hero Diogo Jota stole the headlines and it could potentially see Jurgen Klopp line-up with a front three of Sadio Mane-Jota-Salah for their clash against Manchester City at the weekend.
Nonetheless, when analysing yesterday’s goals, Carragher shared his thoughts on Salah getting on the scoresheet in Italy.
“This is Mo Salah now [for his goal],” said Carragher. “I think whenever anyone else is scoring goals, I think Mo Salah gets a little bit jealous and he always makes sure he gets on the goalscoring sheet.
“I mean it’s a fantastic goal. That is Mo Salah at his best. Blistering pace, coming inside on that left foot and I don’t think the defender has ever seen him play before to allow him to do it.”

That Jota hat-trick will surely now see him start for Liverpool against Man City, especially with Roberto Firmino out-of-form.
Before the game against Atalanta, some were questioning whether the former Wolves man should start ahead of the technically-gifted Brazilian and Jota may have answered that question himself now.
Jota looks unstoppable right now because he is timing his runs perfectly, he is putting himself in the right positions and finding the back of the net with ease.
