Burnley boss Sean Dyche has been linked with the Everton job, and Jamie Carragher has offered him some advice.

Jamie Carragher has told Monday Night Football on Sky Sports (broadcast on 30th October 2017 from 19:00) that Sean Dyche simply has to take the Everton job if he is offered the chance to become Ronald Koeman’s permanent successor at Goodison Park.
The Toffees are still looking for Koeman’s replacement one week after parting company with the Dutchman, but the Daily Express recently reported that Dyche is on Everton’s radar.

Dyche has done a fantastic job with Burnley, leading the Clarets to back-to-back Premier League seasons for the first time, and doing it on a budget that seems incredibly modest in comparison with the majority of their top flight rivals, so it is no surprise that he has been linked with the Goodison Park post.
And Carragher has suggested that, as such an opportunity may not come up again, Dyche would be foolish to let the chance pass him by if, indeed, the Toffees do make a move for him.

“Sean Dyche won’t go from Burnley to a team in the Champions League in this country. Everton is the next step. One of the things you’ve got to remember as well is for a long time, Sean Dyche and Eddie Howe have been the two up and coming, young English managers who’ve come to the Premier League over the last two or three years.
“Eddie Howe hasn’t been mentioned once for this Everton job – he finished ninth last season with Bournemouth. Because they’re struggling this season, he hasn’t been mentioned because it’s all about timing. Sean Dyche could easily be in that position next season.”
Though Burnley are ahead of Everton in the table this term, it would undoubtedly be wrong to suggest that the latter do not have the greater amount of potential over the long-term.
Therefore, perhaps it may be fair to suggest that the Burnley hierarchy are fearful that Everton will come calling in case Dyche’s thinking is somewhat similar to Carragher’s.
