The £34 million (Sky Sports) man is often hailed for his prolific goalscoring record, which takes away from how much of an excellent creator he can be. Even during a poor start to the 2022/2023 season, the Egyptian winger was creating a number of chances for his teammates.

Jamie Carragher shed light on this very aspect after Cody Gakpo scored for Liverpool against Newcastle, raving about the one and only Mohamed Salah.

In fact, quite often, the decorated forward is slated for simply getting on the end of chances instead of creating them as well for his teammates.

“What a pass from Salah. He’s not just about goals, he’s an assist king as well!”, he said on Sky Sports.

The overall game that Salah possesses often goes under-the-radar

Many have slammed the legendary wideman for not being a true winger, as he does not always beat defenders and hug the touchline, operating like the modern-day inside forward.

But Jamie Carragher has defended this very fact after witnessing the sublime assist from Mohamed Salah for Cody Gakpo as Liverpool beat Newcastle at St. James’ Park.

This popular perceptions amongst several fans needs to die out at this point as the 30-year-old is perhaps one of the most well-rounded wide forwards on the planet and has been for over half a decade now.

Be it scoring a ridiculous number of goals, getting assists or running past defences, the man can do it all.
