Pascal Gross made no mistake from the penalty spot, as Brighton bagged a point from the encounter.
Former Liverpool star Carragher was following the match, and he has given his take on Twitter on the incident today, stating that it was the right decision.
The draw with Brighton today means that Liverpool are now at the top of the Premier League table with 21 points from 10 matches, a point ahead of second-placed Tottenham Hotspur, who have played nine games.
