Tottenham Hotspur are currently in third place in the Premier League table, and play again this evening.

Jamie Carragher looks on before the UEFA Champions League group H match between Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid at Wembley Stadium on November 1, 2017 in London, United Kingdom.

Jamie Carragher has told Monday Night Football, which was broadcast on Sky Sports, that Tottenham Hotspur are ‘there’ in the race for the top four.

Tottenham may have lost to Manchester City on Saturday, but other results went entirely in their favour.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are still in third place in the Premier League table now, and they have games in hand over Chelsea.

Tottenham also, crucially, have the easiest looking run-in of all their rivals.

And Carragher feels that Spurs are the side who look guaranteed of a Champions League spot.

He said: “I think Spurs are there. At lot is now riding on United v Chelsea.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino smiles before the Premier League match between Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad Stadium on April 20, 2019 in Manchester, United Kingdom.

“I think if United are going to do it have to beat Chelsea, that’s the vital game. Watford at home and Leicester away, you’d expect a minimum of four points from Chelsea there.”

Tottenham play this evening against Brighton & Hove Albion, and a victory would be a further boost to their top four hopes.

If Spurs can beat the relegation strugglers, then they will be four points clear of fifth placed Arsenal with just three games remaining this term.
