The 2016-17 Premier League title race could go down to the wire, but Tottenham must keep on applying pressure.

Former Liverpool player and now Sky Sports pundit, Jamie Carragher, says that the 2016-17 Premier League title race can go down to the wire.
Only a few weeks ago the title race seemed done and dusted. Chelsea were looking invincible and there were hardly any competition at the top, although Tottenham kept on winning their games.
However, after Chelsea dropped points against Crystal Palace and Manchester United in recent games, the title race has sprung to life once again.
Tottenham have a tricky set of fixtures till the end of the season, but Spurs are riding high on momentum. They are unbeaten at home, and have won their last 12 games at White Hart Lane.
Furthermore, their recent victory against Bournemouth was their seventh win in a row in the Premier League, something they have not managed to do in fifty years.
Carragher says that Spurs need to win big games. He adds that if Tottenham can beat Chelsea in FA semi-final it will strike a psychological blow for the Blues.
Chelsea are leading by four points at the moment and one would still fancy them to win the league given the run-in they have got.
“The one thing that lets Tottenham down is the big games,” said Carragher, as quoted by Sky Sports. “The big moments to go and win a league or maybe an FA Cup.
“Can they go and beat Chelsea next week in a semi-final and get that real big moment?
“You would still have to fancy Chelsea with the run-in that they’ve got. Four points is not a big lead, but could they turn that to two?
“Four points is still two games. Chelsea can still afford to drop points in a game and are still in front. If you can get it to three points or below – where every single game is going to make a difference – that’s when you can see real pressure get put on Chelsea.
“But let’s not forget last season when Tottenham were getting closer to Leicester and they dropped off. There will be more pressure on them, the closer they get to Chelsea also.”
