He swapped Arsenal for Liverpool and Jamie Carragher isn’t convinced.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Jamie Carragher has questioned where Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is going to fit into Liverpool’s first XI.
The 24-year-old joined Liverpool from Arsenal in a £40 million deal today.
Widespread reports suggest that Oxlade-Chamberlain snubbed a move to Premier League champions Chelsea on the basis that he wants to play central midfield, which the Reds are seemingly willing to facilitate.

The England international had spent most of his six years at Arsenal on the right wing, but Liverpool legend Carragher admits he is “scratching his head” over where manager Jurgen Klopp is going to fit him in.
He told Sky Sports: “He talks a lot about wanting to plays in central midfield, so that will be interesting to see how that one plays out because Liverpool have got five or six central midfielders really good.

“I am not sure if Oxlade-Chamberlain would get in that midfield three if everyone is fit. You still have Coutinho and Lallana to come back to the players who performed so well at the weekend. So it remains to be seen how that one will work.
“He is a good player for the squad at this moment, but central midfield, I am still scratching my head on that one. But with Jurgen Klopp buying him with only 12 months left on his contract, there must certainly be a plan in place for where he is going to play and fit in.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain has plenty of talent but it remains to be seen whether he is an effective midfielder.
With pace to burn and a knack of dribbling, the former Arsenal man has qualities better suited to a wide role, but it appears as if he has his heart set on a central role.
