Everton take on Manchester City on Wednesday night.

Liverpool’s title challenge took a minor dent on Monday night, as they could only draw 1-1 away at West Ham United.
Sadio Mane’s opener was quickly cancelled out by a Michail Antonio equaliser, and that’s how it stayed as Liverpool dropped points for the second game in a row.
That means that Liverpool’s lead over Manchester City is down to just three points now, and they can be leapfrogged if City win on Wednesday.
Of course, City’s game on Wednesday has its own narrative, as they will be taking on Liverpool’s city rivals Everton at Goodison Park.
Everton have been in dismal form of late, winning just three of their last 12 Premier League games, whilst also crashing out of the FA Cup at the hands of Championship strugglers Millwall.
Marco Silva is under huge pressure to keep his job, and in normal circumstances, fans would be desperate to pick up a massive win over the Premier League champions in order to kickstart their season.

However, some fans are taking the stance that they want Everton to lose, in order to damage Liverpool’s title hopes; a controversial opinion given that some fans simply can’t be hoping for an Everton defeat no matter what it may mean elsewhere.
Jamie Carragher has now taken to Twitter to claim that all the Everton fans he knows want the Toffees to lose on Wednesday in order to harm Liverpool – and he added that Everton ‘always’ lose at home to City or Manchester United when they’re going for the title.
