Jamie Carragher hailed Gabriel Jesus as “world-class”, while highlighting his impact since joining Arsenal.

Ever since reuniting with Mikel Arteta, the former Manchester City striker has been a revelation for the North London club.

Jesus may get stick from time to time due to his wastefulness in front of goal.

Finishing aside, the 25-year-old has been one of, if Arsenal’s best player already this season.

The Brazilian international’s ability to knit the entire attack together is a rare quality that not many No.9’s possess in world football.

The £190,000-a-week (The Mirror) frontman’s hold-up play and quick feet is tight situations is also second to none when compared to a majority of strikers.

Unfortunately for both Gabriel Jesus and Arsenal, he has been sidelined with a long-term injury.

As the Gunners find themselves in a title race, Jesus’ loss is nothing short of devastating.

The fact that the Emirates faithful are dying to see the star striker return to action just emphasises his impact in such a short spell.

Writing in a column for the Telegraph, Jamie Carragher dubbed Gabriel Jesus as “world class”, while discussing that he has elevated Arsenal since his arrival.

“Jesus has taken Arsenal to the next level”, he wrote.

“I have often argued that developing sides do not need 4 or 5 new faces to take them to the next level. Often, it needs to only one world-class player to take a club forward.”

“Jesus is that player for Arsenal, so there is no point sugar-coating how much he will be missed.”

The Liverpool legend is spot on about Jesus

While some may debate whether Gabriel Jesus is worthy of being put in the “world-class” category, one aspect of Jamie Carragher’s take we can all agree on is how influential the versatile forward has been.

Much like in the same vein as the likes of William Saliba and Thomas Partey, the ex-Man City striker has been so key to Arsenal springing a positive surprise onto the world this season.

One hopes Jesus resumes doing what he does best, as he has been easy on the eye with the ball at his feet this season.
