Jamie Carragher has told Monday Night Football, which was broadcast on Sky Sports on 20th November, that Everton should give their managerial job to Marco Silva.

Silva has done an impressive job with Watford since taking charge in the summer, and Everton have made moves to bring him to Goodison Park.

Doing a deal for Silva is proving very problematic for the Toffees currently, but Carragher believes that the Portuguese manager is the best man for the job.

“Marco Silva,” Carragher said, when asked who Everton should appoint as their next manager.

Watford are, understandably, keen on keeping hold of Silva and have batted away all Everton’s approaches so far.

Silva has got the Hornets playing with a swift attacking style, which has provided them with some excellent results so far this term.

Everton, meanwhile, continue to toil with the Toffees struggling to move up the Premier League table.

Everton’s latest match finished as a 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

At the moment David Unsworth remains in temporary charge, but he has won just one of his five games at the helm.
