Liverpool got back to winning ways on Sunday night, hammering Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0 at Anfield.

The Reds were left disappointed by a 1-1 draw at Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend, and wanted to pick up three points against Wolves.

Jurgen Klopp’s men were superb, and profited from a Conor Coady mistake to open the scoring as Mohamed Salah nipped in to score.

Georginio Wijnaldum fired home a second after the break, Joel Matip made it 3-0 with a fine header and Sadio Mane finished off a fine attack to finish off the scoring – though that goal may go down as a Nelson Semedo own goal.

Liverpool are still such a devastating side even without some key players, and Klopp will have been delighted to add one of his star man back into the fold.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has been out of action of late, picking up an injury against Manchester City almost a month ago.

Liverpool were able to bring him on for 22 minutes, and he picked out a superb cross to give Liverpool the fourth goal, once again showing his outstanding creativity from right back.

Liverpool heroes Jamie Carragher and Phil Thompson both took to Twitter to react to Alexander-Arnold’s display, both echoing the same sentiment – that is he is truly back now.
