Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has developed Dele Alli into one of the most dangerous players in the Premier League.

Pundits Jamie Carragher (L) and Gary Neville laugh prior to the Premier League match between West Ham United and Leicester City at London Stadium on November 24, 2017 in London, England.

Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher have disagreed over Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, which was broadcast on Sky Sports on 10th December.

Alli scored his 50th goal for Tottenham at the weekend, as he netted a header against Leicester City.

And Neville and Carragher were full of praise for the Spurs man, suggesting he was a supreme talented.

However, Neville claimed that he believed Alli would become a central midfielder at Tottenham.

The former Manchester United defender believes that Mauricio Pochettino will end up playing Alli in a deeper role.

But Carragher questioned why Alli would be moved to central midfield while he continues to score at such a rate for Spurs.

Neville said: “He’s on for a sensational career. I think you’ll see him change position two or three times. If you think about a young Roy Keane, he was a goalscoring midfield player.

“He will evolve and change. I think he could end up in central midfield. He could end being a good passer of the game. His hunger for the game is brilliant.”

But Carragher came back: “As long as he scores goals he won’t be getting moved back. Why would you move him back?”

Alli is likely to start for Spurs again this evening when they take on Barcelona in the Nou Camp, and if he could get on the scoresheet again it would massively increase Pochettino’s side’s chances of getting through in the Champions League.
