Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur side are in competition with Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea for a top four spot.

Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher have both told Monday Night Football, which was broadcast on Sky Sports on 9th April, that they expect Tottenham Hotspur to make the top four.

Spurs went on a run of five games without a win, before they beat Crystal Palace last week, and Mauricio Pochettino’s team have slide down the table as a result.

Tottenham have gone from looking safe inside the top four, to seeing their position under major threat.

Spurs are currently in fourth spot in the Premier League table, following Chelsea’s win last night.

But Neville and Carragher both feel that Spurs will have enough to claim a spot in the Champions League.

Neville said: “I think it’s confusing. If you look at the fixtures, I look at Tottenham’s. I have to say that’s the one that stands out [Manchester City away].

“If you look at Arsenal’s, they have the best run in in terms of they don’t play any of the top teams, but they’ve got four away games and they’re shocking when they’re not at home.

“You could not pick them. Tottenham for me would be the ones to finish third as they have the four home games.”

And Carragher agreed: “Yeah, I do [think Spurs will make it]. I think the fixtures are there, they’re back on track with the stadium done.”

Tottenham’s win over Palace last Wednesday did ease some concerns, but they face a huge test tonight in the Champions League.

Spurs are set to host Manchester City later in what will be the first European match at their new home.
