Liverpool’s Emre Can heads at goal
Liverpool consolidated their position in the top four after winning 1-0 against Watford in the Premier League clash on Monday night.
Emre Can scored the only goal of the match to seal all three points for the Reds. And boy, what a goal that was!
The Reds midfielder scored a wonderful bicycle kick which flew into the top corner – undoubtedly, it is one of the goals of the season.
Watford didn’t offer much going forward but almost snatched a point towards the end when Sebastian Prodl smashed against the bar deep in the injury time.
Former Liverpool defender and now Sky Sports pundit, Jamie Carragher, was quick to react on Twitter following Liverpool’s victory. He described it as a ‘huge’ three points for the Reds, and congratulated Can and Simon Mignolet for their performances.
Former England striker and BBC pundit, Gary Lineker, also showered praise on Can, and hailed the goal as “sensational”.
With this victory, Liverpool have moved four points clear of fifth-placed Manchester United. If Liverpool can win their remaining three games they are certain to secure a top-four Premier League finish – and a return to the Champions League for the first time in three seasons.
