The Everton midfielder was key to the win over Sunderland.

Jamie Carragher has admitted to Sky Sports that he underestimated how good Everton star Idrissa Gueye was on the ball.
The midfielder has enjoyed a strong start to life at Goodison Park since joining from Aston Villa in the summer.
He continued that fine form on Monday evening as he played a key role in the Blues’ 3-0 win over Sunderland.
His all-action defensive performances are what have caught the eye so far, but it was the manner in which he passed the ball and helped his side dominate possession against the Black Cats that earned him praise in the game.

And Carragher admits that he did not realise the midfielder had that passing ability in his game.
“I think I have underestimated how good this lad is on the ball,” he told Sky Sports.
“His passing was fantastic and I didn’t know he had that in his game. He’s not thinking like a defensive midfielder that wants to get back and do his job. I think Everton have a real player.”

Everton will be hoping that Gueye can maintain this level of performance for the rest of the season.
He has quickly established himself in their midfield, forming a strong partnership with fellow midfielder Gareth Barry.
They have been the base upon which the Blues have built their strong start to the season, with the win over Sunderland taking them up to third in the table and maintaining their unbeaten record in the process.
