Glasgow Rangers youngster Liam Burt has confirmed on social media that he is leaving Ibrox in the summer.

Jamie Barjonas has taken to Twitter to insist that there are big things coming for Liam Burt after the midfielder announced on social media that he is leaving Rangers at the end of the season.
Burt’s departure is probably not all that unexpected. The 20-year-old has not made a senior appearance for the Gers in the last two campaigns, spending much of his time out on loan.
His most recent spell came at Alloa. He made nine league appearances for the Scottish Championship side, but made just three starts before returning to Ibrox in January.
And with Steven Gerrard boasting a long list of options in the middle of the park, it had appeared that the writing may have been on the wall for Burt ahead of his contract expiring at the end of the season.

He has now confirmed that he will leave the club in the summer in an emotional, but also defiant, statement on social media. And Barjonas has messaged his soon-to-be former teammate…
Barjonas will be hoping that his chance in Gerrard’s side may come next term. He has enjoyed a good spell with Raith Rovers during the second-half of this season, so it will be interesting to see whether he features in the manager’s plans or whether another loan spell lies ahead for the 20-year-old.
