Ibrox academy product Jamie Barjonas has been sidelined with a shin injury at Rangers.

Rangers midfielder Jamie Barjonas has posted on Twitter after starring in the Gers’ Under-23 side to beat Valencia 1-0 on Monday afternoon, after finally overcoming a shin injury.
Barjonas, 19, came on as a substitute during the victory as Zak Rudden found the back of the net to earn a second win in two for Billy Kirkwood’s side, as they also beat Villarreal 3-2.
The Light Blues youngsters are on a training camp in Spain and will return following Tuesday’s clash against Levante, in which Barjonas could also feature.
The midfielder posted on Twitter after finally overcoming a shin injury that he picked up while on tour with the Gers’ senior side in Florida, in which Graeme Murty’s side beat Corinthians and Atletico Mineiro.
Leeds-born Scotland Under-19 international Barjonas has featured regularly for the Gers’ senior side this season, clocking up nine appearances alongside the likes of Bruno Alves, Wes Foderingham and Alfredo Morelos.
Recently signing a new deal at Ibrox, Barjonas is expected to link back up with the first team upon his return as the Gers are still without Ryan Jack and Graham Dorrans, while Carlos Pena was sent back on loan to Mexico in January.
