Glasgow Rangers defender James Tavernier wants to stay at Ibrox, with Sunderland and Reading reportedly interested.
Rangers defender James Tavernier has taken to social networking site Twitter to make it clear that he is not going to leave Ibrox in the January transfer window.
According to The Daily Mail, Sunderland and Reading in the Championship in England are interested in signing Tavernier from Rangers this month.
The report also claimed that the 26-year-old former Leeds United and Newcastle United prospect is open to a return to England.
Tavernier joined Rangers from Wigan Athletic in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £200,000 and when Mark Warburton was the Gers manager.
The former Newcastle defender has developed himself as a key player for Rangers and is the first-choice right-back at the Gers.
Tavernier has taken to Twitter to make it clear that he has no plan to leave Rangers in the January transfer window.
Rangers fans have responded to the message from the right-back and want him to sign a new contract with the Scottish Premiership club.
