Rangers bounced back from successive defeats to win against St Johnstone.
Glasgow Rangers recorded a much needed win as they beat St Johnstone 3-2 last night.
The Gers needed a late strike from loanee Emerson Hyndman to seal the win, with the Bournemouth midfielder rattling the bar minutes earlier as he pushed for a winner.
Barrie McKay and Martyn Waghorn were also on target for Graeme Murty’s side, before St Johnstone rallied to pull the scores level.
Hyndman’s goal helped Rangers avoid several days of kicking themselves for blowing a lead, and registered their first win in five matches.
Full-back James Tavernier hinted that the manner of the dramatic win has given the players a much needed morale boost.
Rangers remain in third, six points behind Aberdeen, while Celtic won again over Inverness to ensure they continue to disappear over the horizon and edge closer to the Scottish Premiership title.
The 33 point gap remains humiliating for Rangers, but they at least stopped it getting bigger last night, and the win gives them a vital bit of momentum heading into the next match between the two clubs later this month.
