The Rangers defender has backed his goalkeeper to keep getting better.
Rangers defender James Tavernier has praised goalkeeper Wes Foderingham to the club’s official website.
The goalkeeper arrived at Ibrox last summer and went on to play a key role in the team, making 50 appearances in all competitions as they sealed their return to the Scottish Premiership.
He has continued as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper this season but now faces stern competition from summer signing Matt Gilks.

At 25-years-old he is arguably entering the period of his career where he will play his best football and Tavernier has backed him to go from strength to strength.
“Wes is very good with his feet and we have two great goalkeepers here, Gilo and Wes, and they are both outstanding goalkeepers in the net,” he told the club’s official website.
“I think Wes is a great keeper and he is only getting better and stronger as his career at Rangers progresses.”

It will be interesting to see what decision that Rangers manager Mark Warburton makes over the goalkeeper situation moving forward.
Foderingham is number one at present but Gilks has staked his claim for a regular role with the performances he has put in in the cup competitions so far this season.
It leaves Warburton with a decision to make and Foderingham will know that he will have to keep his performances at a high level to ensure he keep his place long-term.
