Rangers have got the ball rolling in the summer transfer window and they will be hoping to add more faces before the new Scottish Premiership season starts.

James Tavernier has lauded Rangers’ new signings Sheyi Ojo, Jake Hastie and Greg Stewart and what they have been doing in training ahead of the new season.
Defender Tavernier admitted that Stewart has ‘proven’ to be a ‘difficult’ opponent whenever he has played against him, whilst he also admired the technical abilities of wingers Hastie and Ojo.
Versatile attacker Ojo is the latest player to walk through the Ibrox doors as the Gers have already returned to pre-season ahead of the new campaign – Europa League qualifiers get underway next month.
Tavernier will play a huge part in Europe, in the Scottish Premiership and ensuring the new signings bed in well at the club as the Gers aim to stop their rivals from winning yet another title.
“I have heard some good things about Sheyi,” Tavernier told Rangers’ official website. “I heard Don Cowie, who was at Wigan with him, said he was a really good player, so he is obviously as excited player for us to get. I have seen in the past couple of days how strong a runner he is and I can’t wait to see him out on the pitch properly.
“I have played against both Greg Stewart and Jake Hastie. I know Jake had a good spell when he broke onto the scene at Motherwell and I have seen some clips of him, he is a strong runner and has a good finish on him.

“I have played against Greg a lot of times and he has always proven to be a difficult opponent. I am really happy we have secured him.”
The summer transfer window is a huge one for Gerrard because if he gets it right then it could be the difference in his team winning a trophy, or going trophyless for another campaign.
Last season, the Light Blues lacked consistency and they needed that extra oomph in their squad. Bulking up areas of the pitch is going to help them add that much-needed consistency in their game.
Added with that, Rangers’ performances and results against their Old Firm rivals towards the back end of the campaign will also be a massive positive for the club heading into the new season.
