James Tavernier has interesting take on Rangers’ busy December schedule

Rangers have made a decent start to life under Steven Gerrard.

Rangers captain James Tavernier spoke to reporters ahead of his side’s clash with Dundee on Sunday, and highlighted how this month’s hectic schedule is actually a luxury for his club, as quoted by Sky Sports.

The Gers currently sit in second spot in the Scottish Premiership table, but they will be bitterly disappointed after losing Sunday’s crunch game with Aberdeen at Ibrox.

Steven Gerrard has totally transformed Rangers, since taking over as manager of the club in the summer, and his side are now considered to be genuine challengers for the league title.

They absolutely must get back to winning ways this weekend, however.

Tavernier spoke to reporters, and highlighted how Sunday’s clash with Dundee is an excellent chance for his side to put last weekend’s loss to Aberdeen to bed, as quoted by Sky Sports:

“We have the luxury of this month being so busy and [after] dropping points against Aberdeen, now we can get back to winning ways.”

Rangers face Celtic at the end of this month, and they will be determined to head into the Old Firm clash ahead of their bitter rivals.

The ideal place to start will be three points at Dens Park on Sunday, but with Dundee fighting for their lives, it will be far from easy for Gerrard’s men.
