Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers reportedly want to bring Derek McInnes from Aberdeen to Ibrox as a replacement for the departed Pedro Caixinha.

According to The Daily Record, Rangers are interested in appointing Aberdeen boss McInnes as their new manager.
The Gers are looking for a new permanent boss following the recent departure of Pedro Caixinha.
McInnes is a former Rangers player and has done a wonderful job at Aberdeen, who are arguably the second best ‘team’ in the Scottish Premiership at the moment.
Aberdeen may not be able to compete with Celtic for the league title, but the Dons are good enough to challenge for the runners-ups spot season after season.
Rangers right-back Tavernier, 26, has given his verdict on Aberdeen manager McInnes.

“He has done a great job up there at Aberdeen and knows the league very well,” Tavernier told The Daily Record when asked about McInnes.
“I can’t really talk about the position but he is a manager that stands out in the Premiership. He knows Rangers as well. It is up to the board.”

Aberdeen are second in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 26 points from 11 matches, just a point behind leaders Celtic.
Meanwhile, Rangers currently find themselves fourth in the standings with 21 points, a point behind third-placed Hibernian, who have played a game more.
