Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha still remains under pressure.

Glasgow Rangers defender James Tavernier has issued a message of support to Pedro Caixinha in the Glasgow Evening Times.

Caixinha has come under pressure at Rangers recently, with the Light Blues still struggling to compete with their city rivals, Celtic.

Caixinha’s hard-line stance has also baffled some supporters of the Ibrox club, with Kenny Miller seemingly the latest player to feel the Portuguese boss’s wrath.

However, Tavernier’s comments seem to suggest that he is enjoying playing under Caixinha, as the tactics can get the best out of him.

“The manager is using the strengths of myself and Waldo (Lee Wallace), and Declan (John) and Lee (Hodson), to attack up the lines,” Tavernier said.

“That is what our strengths are. It is great to have the manager backing that and we have got good support from the midfield.”

Tavernier has been a key player for Rangers ever since Caixinha took charge, with his attacking qualities coming to the fore.

Rangers have helped to relieve some of the pressure on their manager by winning impressively on their last outing.

The Light Blues beat Hamilton 4-1 last weekend, with their performance catching the eye.
