Liverpool’s James Milner has again shown how much he still loves Leeds United.

Liverpool midfielder James Milner is a famed lifelong Leeds United fan – and he has reiterated his love for the club, and his current allegiances.
Milner took part in the ‘What I Wore’ series with BT Sport this week, going through a number of shirts that tell the story of his career from beginning to the present day.
When he first saw a Manchester United shirt in the collection, he responded by saying ‘that shouldn’t be in here’, a nod to his love for Leeds given their bitter rivalry.
Later, when asked to pick out two shirts he would save from a burning building, he joked about United again, picking up their shirt and saying “Well, that one’s getting thrown into the fire!”.
As far as players with reasons to dislike United go, Milner is a prime candidate. He was born in Leeds, grew up supporting the Whites and then started his career with the club too.
Later in his career, he joined United’s city neighbours Manchester City, pipping the Red Devils to the 2012 Premier League title on the final day, before then joining Liverpool in 2015.

Leeds, City and Liverpool are historically United’s three biggest rivals, and Milner has been a key player for all three sides, meaning his dislike of United is hard-wired into him by now.
His priority will be that Leeds allegiance, but ahead of facing Manchester United this weekend, he’s made it clear that he really doesn’t like Liverpool’s bitter enemies.
