Posting on Instagram this morning, Milner praised the character of the young players who featured, and talked up how the opportunity will benefit them.
Rhian Brewster, Caomihin Kelleher, Sepp van den Berg , Curtis Jones, and Neco Williams were among the youngsters to play a role.
Milner is right, this game will stand the teenagers in good stead moving forward.
Even Kelleher, who conceded five, can walk away reflecting on a successful night after saving a crucial penalty to win the game.
