Liverpool kicked off their pre-season preparations with a 3-0 win over Stuttgart on Saturday evening.

The Reds have been over in Austria for a pre-season training camp as they gear up to try and retain the Premier League title.

It was a comfortable win over Stuttgart, as Roberto Firmino and Naby Keita put the Reds 2-0 up in the first half.

Young striker Rhian Brewster added a third in the second half, giving Jurgen Klopp’s men a rather straightforward victory.

Liverpool got a great run-out, and Klopp was able to give a debut to new signing Kostas Tsimikas following his move from Olympiacos.

The left back came on for Andrew Robertson at half time and fared well in his first appearance for the club, though he was involved in one funny moment.

James Milner gave Tsimikas the ball down the left flank, and whilst Milner was expecting a return, Tsimikas came back inside and gave the ball to Takumi Minamino instead.

Milner immediately shouted expletives towards the Greek ace, and with no fans in the stadium, it was picked up by the microphones for all to hear.

Milner took to Twitter after full time to joke about the situation, laughing at his own ‘warm welcome’ towards his new teammate.
