Some Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of James Milner against FC Porto in the Champions League tonight.
Milner was in action for Liverpool in their Champions League Group B match against Porto away from home in Portugal tonight.
The former Leeds United and Newcastle United star started at right-back due to the injury suffered by Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The 35-year-old is essentially a squad player for Liverpool now, but, as he showed tonight, he can certainly do a very good job when asked.
Milner, who can also play as a winger or as a midfielder, provided the assist for Sadio Mane’s goal in the 45th minute.
Liverpool won the Champions League game against Porto 5-1 with ease.

The former Aston Villa star, who was substituted in the 65th minute, took one shot, played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 65.2%, won three headers, took 75 touches, and made two tackles, one interception, and put in five crosses.
As you can see from the tweets below, Liverpool fans were hugely impressed by Milner’s performance against Porto tonight.

Well, some of them anyway.
Liverpool will return to action on Sunday when they take on Manchester City at Anfield in the Premier League.
Alexander-Arnold could miss the match, which means that Milner will be asked to play at right-back again against his former club.
