Alisson Becker has now returned in goal for Liverpool following his early injury problems.

James Milner has admitted that ‘it wasn’t easy’ for Adrian when he was in the Liverpool side as the experienced man has now be dropped to the bench following Alisson Becker’s return from injury.
On the opening day of the season, Alisson suffered an injury which meant that Adrian, who had only just joined the club as a free agent, had to replace the experienced man in between the sticks.
Adrian had to don the gloves both in the Premier League and Champions League for Liverpool, as he did a pretty respectable job before his goalkeeping teammate returned to action against Manchester United last time out.
Milner stated that Adrian did ‘fantastic’ during his time as number one but he did admit that it wasn’t all straightforward for the former West Ham man.
“Adrian did fantastic,” Milner told the Liverpool Echo. “It wasn’t easy for him. But he came in and made some massive saves. Can’t say enough but we know how good Ali is and what he brings to the team.
“He is massive and he will help us again and it won’t take too long to get up to speed.”

Liverpool are now hours away from their Wednesday night Champions League encounter against Belgian side Genk where they will be hoping to secure another three points.
After returning to Premier League games at the weekend, Alisson will now be expected to return to Champions League matters.
He didn’t keep a clean sheet against United and that will no doubt be on his mind as the European champions hope to edge closer to the knockout stages once again.
