The Liverpool midfielder has been in superb form in recent weeks.
Liverpool ace James Milner addressed the media yesterday, and offered high words of praise for Jordan Henderson, suggesting that the midfielder is a big influence on Jurgen Klopp’s side, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.
Henderson has received criticism from some sections of supporters this season, but that seems to be a little unfair.
The 28-year-old has been in fine form recently, having been deployed in a more advanced role for Liverpool, and he is showing just how important he is to Klopp’s setup.
And when speaking to reporters yesterday, Milner underlined the 50-capped England international’s importance to the Reds, suggesting that his teammate has been fantastic lately, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo:
“We all know how good he is. He’s a great leader who has done really well as a No 6. You don’t get the headlines there but he performed fantastic. It’s great to see him getting more recognition for his recent performances. He’s a big influence on the side.”
Liverpool have every chance of winning both the Premier League title and the Champions League this season, and if they are going to do just that, they will need the inspirational Henderson to keep performing over the course of the next five weeks.
And Milner certainly seems to have faith that his teammate is well capable of guiding the Reds to silverware this season.
