Scott Brown has captained Celtic to yet another Scottish Premiership title.

Sky Sports pundit James McFadden has claimed that Celtic ace Scott Brown is now ‘back to the same levels’ that saw him win the club’s Player of the Year last season.

Former striker McFadden stated how Brown was being doubted by others prior to the turn of the year, but in recent months he has proven them wrong.

The Bhoys secured the Scottish Premiership title on Saturday afternoon when they beat Aberdeen 3-0 at Pittodrie as they will now be focusing on the Old Firm encounter next week.

Speaking to Sky Sports Football (04/05/2019 at 12:20 pm), McFadden spoke about how things could have been different for Brown this season.

“More than slightly doubting him,” McFadden told Sky Sports Football. “They were questioning whether his legs had gone. I think there was the thing about the move to Australia or America in the background. I think that may be played on Scott’s mind as well.

“For all you see, steely outer of him, he’s a human being and obviously the emotions were there. But he’s come back and shown the energy. He’s back to the same levels when he won Player of the Year.

“I felt when they were talking about him going to Australia, it was too early for him. I think the best thing for him was to stay, captain Celtic to the title this season and potentially go for ten in a row.”

Celtic players applaud fans after the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Celtic and Kilmarnock at Celtic Park on April 27, 2019 in Glasgow, Scotland.

There is no doubt that Celtic will be aiming for 10 titles in a row, but before they try to achieve that feat they must set the platform to reach that mark.

At this moment in time, Neil Lennon is currently in temporary charge after he replaced the now-Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers in the Parkhead dugout in February.

It would mean more for the Celtic faithful if Lennon were to deliver the 10th title in a row because he started the current run his team are on.
