Ryan Christie is an important player in Neil Lennon’s Celtic team.

James McFadden has spoken highly of Celtic star Ryan Christie on BBC Sport.
The former Scotland international striker was impressed with the performance of Christie during Celtic’s victory over CFR Cluj in the Europa League this evening.
The 24-year-old midfielder was brilliant in the middle of the park and ran the show for Neil Lennon’s side.
McFadden has outlined the progress and development he has noticed in Christie from three or four years back.
McFadden told BBC Sport about Christie: “It’s fantastic again from Ryan Christie. The difference between him and three or four years ago is that he’s running directly at goal.
“He’s not running out wide in to space. He’s committing opposing players. He’s been a huge player for Celtic.”
Encouraging progress
Christie has been superb for Celtic since he returned from his loan spells at Aberdeen in 2018.
The Scotland international has established himself as a key figure in Lennon’s team and is one of the first names on the teamsheet.
With the Hoops aiming to win the domestic treble again and also progress to the knockout rounds of the Europa League, the former Inverness Caledonian Thistle star will be a key figure in the team.
Celtic will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Livingston away from home in the Scottish Premiership.
